Jan Molzberger earned his MA in European Public Administration from the Universities of Ludwigsburg and Kehl. Since September 2024 he was Deputy Head of Office of the European Office and took over the position of Head of Office in October 2025. Prior, he worked as a policy advisor at the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg, responsible for cross-border cooperation with France.

Marleen Lorenz

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology and political science, Marleen Lorenz completed a binational master’s degree in peace and conflict studies. Through her academic experience abroad and her personal commitment to intercultural exchange, she has developed a passion for the diversity of languages, cultures, and perspectives that converge in European cooperation. She has been part of the team of the European Office of Local Authorities of Baden-Württemberg since April 2024, to which she contributes her expertise and passion for European values.

Nadine Merz

Office Manager

Nadine Merz completed her bachelor’s degree in public management, followed by a master’s degree in European Public Administration at the Universities of Kehl and Ludwigsburg. During her studies she gained practical experience in several local authorities in Baden-Württemberg as well as project assistant in subsidy management for municipal broadband expansion projects. During internships in Belgium and Cyprus, she gained international work experience. Nadine Merz has been part of the team of the European Office of Local Authorities of Baden-Württemberg since September 2025.

Philipp Hamm

Trainee

It may sometimes challenge us with regulations, but at the same time builds a strong foundation that offers stability and connects people and cultures beyond their geographical borders. As a committed European, I want to do my part in shaping and developing this project further.”

Philipp Hamm completed his bachelor’s degree in public management and his master’s degree in European Public Administration at the Universities of Ludwigsburg and Kehl during which he focused on mayoral elections and EU readiness of cities in Baden-Württemberg. He gained international experience during his work placements in the United States of America, Belgium and Fiji. Further positions took him to several local authorities as well as campaign manager during a mayoral election. Philipp Hamm rejoined the European Office of Local Authorities of Baden-Württemberg in December 2025.
